Electronic Voting System - an Effective Way to Eliminate Falsifications in Elections.
The electronic system will make the elections honest and transparent. The system's operation would eliminate all the machinations that are currently used

On February 25, the pre-election campaign officially started in Ukraine. The election date has been set, the country is waiting for the list of presidential candidates to be announced, and the city of Kyiv is waiting for the candidates for the position of the new mayor and city council deputies.

The Verkhovna Rada has decided to allocate funding for the elections. However, no one is considering the state of our electoral system. The system around which there are constantly so many scandals. Every new election is multiple falsifications: endless "carousels", bribery and other dirty technologies, united by one goal - to win at any cost. Every election costs the country a tidy sum, but officials have never had the desire to abandon the standard corrupt scheme and spend this amount on creating a new electoral system. Modern, efficient and, paradoxically, less expensive than holding one election.

An electronic voting system could solve many problems of the electoral process. It would become a reliable, truly transparent method of conducting elections that excludes the possibility of voter bribery and vote-counting manipulations. Such a system, built on open technologies, developed with the involvement of domestic developers, would allow people to believe in the fairness of the elections and the objectivity of the vote counting. Thanks to the electronic voting system, it will be possible to show each voter that his vote really matters.

All willing Ukrainian developers should be involved in the creation of such a voting system. This is not only the prospect of creating additional jobs for specialists, but also the opportunity for all participants in the development to make sure the system is reliable. In addition, holding elections based on such a system is much cheaper than the cost of holding elections today.

At one time, I got acquainted with the work of a similar system. The presentation of the electronic voting system took place in Estonia. The success of the implementation of this system is obvious - all citizens can participate in the elections without leaving home, the vote counting process is accelerated, voter activity increases and interest among young people increases, and the possibility of voting for people with disabilities appears. The advantages of the electronic voting system provide a qualitatively different organization of the voting process itself, which is characterized by a fundamentally new level of convenience, speed and security.
