On December 4, within the framework of the preparation of the project to modernize the social support system for the population of Ukraine, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine with representatives of the World Bank.
The World Bank Director in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova and the Minister of Social Policy discussed the provision of $300 million in financial assistance from the World Bank to improve the quality of social services. The main focus of the project is to expand the assistance program for low-income families and orphans. The project also involves the introduction of distance learning for social workers.
Currently, the World Bank plans comprehensive cooperation with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. The first steps to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery received positive feedback as a result of audits of social protection departments in the regions.
